About :
Rev. Dr. Michael N. Jagessar currently serves as Mission Secretary for Council for World Mission (CWM) Europe Region. A minister and academic, Michael served in the United Reformed Church (Britain) as secretary for Global and Intercultural Ministries and as a past moderator of the General Assembly of the United Reformed Church (2012-2014). Before this role, he taught ecumenical theology, interfaith studies, Black and contextual theologies, postcolonial hermeneutics, and practice of ministry at the Queens Ecumenical Theological Foundation (Birmingham, UK) from 2002 to 2008 and Liturgy and Worship; and Practical theology at the Cambridge Theological Federation (2010-2014). He continues to co-supervise PhD students and serve as an external examiner for various religious and theology departments. Michael is from the Caribbean (Guyana to be specific) with Muslim and Hindu heritages. In the Caribbean he has been involved in a variety of ministries, including community development work in Guyana and Grenada and ecumenical theological education in Guyana, Grenada and Curacao.
